Collis Engineering Ltd is desirous of increasing its capability and capacity by introducing technological advances into its manufacturing system which currently do not exist within the company. Improvements in efficiency will enable the company to satisfy a growing demand for products and services in terms of both volume and cost.\r\nAs a result the company wishes to procure two items of plant and equipment to assist in this advancement.

1. CNC lathe with live tailstock tooling. Complete with bar feed, parts removal system, chip conveyor and Fanuc control. Capacity X 270mm min Z 1000mm min machine bore 66mmdia. Full machine specification to be provided with tender submission.

2. High definition plasma cutting machine suitable for cutting low carbon steel up to 30mm thick at speeds in excess of 600mm/min and stainless steels up to 25mm at 450mm/min. Minimum profile bed size to be 4m long x 3m wide with full fume extraction equipment fitted.

Tenders are invited to submit prices and technical specifications of equipment on or before Friday 6th June at 3.00pm. Following tender evaluation successful tenderers will be asked to provide a demonstration of the plant offered prior to the placement of an order. Prices are to be submitted in Pounds Sterling and are to be valid for 60 days from the closing date. Tenderers are asked to detail their payment terms including discounts for early payment.
