Collis Engineering celebrates 50 years in business in 2020.
Founded by Peter Collis in November 1970, Collis started out as a small steel fabrication business and over the years has grown to has always operated from its Alfreton site, growing in size to meet the demands of its customers. Since its first enquiry in 1973 from a local British Rail depot, Collis has considered itself a railway organisation.
in 2003 Collis was incorporated into the larger Signal House Group Ltd, which today employs 150 staff, across 4 businesses – Collis, Collis Civil Engineering, Signal House Ltd & Michael Evans and Associates.
50 years in business is a terrific achievement and is a tribute to the many hard working members of staff, many of whom have been with Collis for more than half of its existence.
